FAQs
Got Questions? We've Got Answers.
Everything you need to know before getting started.
1. Who can use Nudae?
While we specialise in women’s health, many of our tests support general wellbeing for all genders. If you want deeper insight into your body, you’re in the right place.
2. How do I choose and order a test?
Ordering your test is simple:
- Choose the test that best fits your needs — blood, gut, or both.
- Add it to your basket and checkout securely online.
You’ll receive an email confirmation with next steps, including how to book your clinic appointment (for blood tests) or what to expect with your at-home kit (for gut microbiome tests).
If you’re unsure which test is right for you, you can book a free discovery call or read our Test Guide to compare options.
3. What kind of tests do you offer?
We offer advanced blood biomarker panels, covering 80+ markers designed around real-life symptoms and life stages from hormones and thyroid to inflammation, fertility, energy, and stress.
Alongside this, we provide in-depth gut microbiome testing to uncover how your digestive health impacts everything from mood to immunity.
All tests are clinically validated and science-led.
4. What payment options do you offer?
We accept major debit and credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Buy Now, Pay Later options such as Klarna.
All payments are processed securely at checkout.
5. Do I need to go to a clinic?
For our blood test yes. They measure a large number of biomarkers and require more blood than an at-home finger-prick kit can collect, so we do these in-clinic for accuracy.
For gut microbiome and genetic tests no. These can be done easily at home with kits we send straight to your door.
6. How do I book my blood test appointment?
Once you’ve purchased your blood test, you’ll receive an email with a secure booking link to choose a clinic location, date, and time that suits you.
Appointments are carried out by trained phlebotomists to ensure accuracy and comfort. Please bring valid ID on the day of your appointment.
7. How do I use and return my gut microbiome kit?
Your at-home kit includes everything you need — a sample collection tool, instructions, and a pre-paid return envelope.
- Collect your sample in the morning.
- Place it in the secure packaging provided.
Drop it in any Royal Mail postbox the same day.
Once it reaches the lab, we’ll notify you by email.
8. How long do results take?
- Blood test results: usually within 24–48 hours of the lab receiving your sample.
- Gut microbiome and DNA results: approximately 2–4 weeks.
We’ll keep you updated at every stage.
9. How will I receive my results?
When your results are ready, you’ll get a secure email with a link to view your report in our online portal.
Your results are presented in a clean, easy-to-understand format with biomarker explanations, optimal ranges, and actionable insights.
10. What do I actually get back?
- Blood tests: A clear biomarker report showing your lab results. If you book a nutrition consultation, you’ll also receive a personalised health report with your wellness score, tailored supplement and nutrition advice, and simple, actionable steps to improve your health.
-
Gut microbiome tests: Expert-backed nutrition and supplement guidance based on your unique gut profile including what to eat more of, what to avoid, and how to support your gut day to day.
No medical jargon. No overwhelm. Just real, practical insights you can use to feel your best.
11. Can I speak to someone about my results?
Absolutely. You’ll have the option to book a consultation with our women’s health nutritionist or specialist. They’ll help you interpret your results, explain what they mean for your symptoms, and guide you with tailored nutrition, supplement, and lifestyle recommendations so you know exactly how to take action.
12. What happens after the test do you help with long-term care?
Yes. Once you’ve received your results, we support you with specialist consultations, actionable recommendations, and optional re-testing every 3–6 months to track your progress.
Think of us as your long-term health partner.
13. How is this different from going to my GP or a private clinic?
What we offer simply isn’t available through your GP, and even most private clinics fall short.
NHS care often doesn’t test deeply, and private clinics may offer tests but rarely provide proper follow-up or a joined-up plan.
At Nudae, we connect all the dots advanced testing, your results, your personalised care plan, and the right experts, all in one place.
This is proactive, preventative healthcare built for women.
14. Are your tests medically approved?
Yes. All of our blood tests are processed by our UK partner laboratory, which is regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) the same level of regulation required for NHS hospitals.
Our gut microbiome tests use whole-genome sequencing the most advanced technology available for analysing gut bacteria. By working only with CQC-regulated labs and clinically validated partners, we ensure every test is both science-led and medically approved.
15. Can I use Nudae if I’m already working with a doctor?
Yes many of our users share their reports with GPs, specialists, or therapists to support a broader care plan. We’re here to complement your existing healthcare, not compete with it.
16. Should I take my test if I’m unwell?
Our tests won’t “pick up the wrong markers,” but if you’re fighting something like a cold or virus, some markers may come back temporarily raised. For example, white blood cells, lymphocytes, or CRP can rise when your immune system is active.
For the most accurate reading (and to get the best value for your money), we recommend waiting until you feel better before taking your test.
17. Can I claim for Nudae tests through private insurance?
Yes most UK private health insurers allow you to claim back for diagnostic tests like blood work. In most cases, you’ll pay Nudae directly and then submit your invoice to your insurer for reimbursement.
If you’d like to check before ordering, we recommend contacting your insurer with details of the test. We can also provide invoices or supporting documentation if needed.
